Last night I attended a plannng meeting for a Church's Liturgical Dance Ministry. After a 2 year absence I am especially excited to be going back. And I have been out of the dance scene obviously during my pregnancy. Our Leader has allocated me the task of training the members of the ministry and I couldnt be happier. There is a huge market for the training of spiritual dancers and quite a need. The reason for this is that spiritual dancing is usually undermined becuase of its lack of technicality. When done properly spiritual dancing alludes to the movement and atmosphere of contemporary dancing.
My opinion lends itself towards the fact that no matter in what environment you find yourself in even a church and you call yourself a dancer, you need to educate yourself about the history and practice the basic moves of that genre.
My Leader themed 2013 as the diary of a dancer. This theme portrays a more personal journey as a dancer. I love diaries and have kept one since I could spell. I also have this weird obsession with stationery. Even though blogging has become a global phenomenon, there's still something a pen to about putting pen to paper.
I thought it would be a good idea to share this personal dance diary on this blog. As a blog is a bit of a diary just that your Keyboard is your pen and the Screen is your paper. Oh, and you have an audience which makes it less than a diary unless you have been a victim of your mom snooping.

Pretty Messy Mom and Wife
